Meet our NEW ARTISTS

Jasmine Hunt

Hi, I’m Jasmine Hunt, I’m a junior designer and interior architecture student. I’m interested in both traditional and contemporary arts, working on digital visualisation and portraiture, as well as spatial design relating to narrative and human experience. I'm looking forward to being a b-side New Artist because I feel excited to create art that connects with my community and develop new forms of expression and design.

Charlie Pascoe

Hi I’m Charlie, I’m 17 and live on Portland. I’m interested in painting with watercolours and acrylic inks, I like brightly coloured artwork and 70s inspired psychedelic album covers. I have just left Weymouth College to start a new apprenticeship on the 22nd with Wow Creative Print. I have been selling originals, prints, cards etc through them and with their help for 3 years now. I’m looking forward to being a b-side new artist because I want the chance to learn more about how the art world works, so that I can build my career and can grow and develop myself and my work.

Gemma Stephens

Hi, I’m Gemma Stephens, I’m interested in making work that will look nothing like the world, but which I will use to try and describe the world. I hope to discover things as I go and my audience is invited to share the pleasure of discovery. I work with moving-image, photography & text. I’m looking forward to being a b-side New Artist because it gives me to the opportunity to grow as a young artist and meet likeminded creatives across Dorset.

I am an artist and writer based in the South-West. My work has a particular focus on mental health, individual struggle and class using found footage and text. I am one half of First Line Theatre, a live art group producing site-responsive performances.
I’m looking forward to the New Artist Programme because of the new people I'll meet and the chance to discuss completely different ways of thinking about and making work."
