About Carrie
Carrie Mason (b. 1971, UK) is a visual artist and graduate of the Arts University Bournemouth, completing a BA (Hons) Fine Art (1st Class) in 2016 and MA Fine Art (Distinction) in 2017.
Carrie combines systematic mark making with an experimental approach to using materials in a predominantly drawing-based practice. Her process is labour intensive, often beginning with making her own drawing materials, including making charcoal from locally collected wood, making inks and handmade papers.
Carrie was a b-side bursary artist in 2018 and was commissioned as one of the supporting artists for the Dorset Moon Festival in 2019. She exhibits regularly with the DVA Salon Collective and currently has work in the Bridport Sculpture Trail, Moreton Walled Gardens and has been selected for Print International exhibition at Tŷ Pawb, Wrexham.
