Artists

We work with artists from across the globe, those based in the UK and those around the corner too!

We often get asked how we select artists to work with us, which is a fair question – we hope the information below is useful. Please have a read and check out some of the many, many artists we have worked with over the years too.

How can I show my art at b-side festival?

You don’t have to call yourself an artist to talk to us about your ideas – ‘artists’ or ‘not yet artists’ or ‘people with ideas’ – all are welcome.

We love to hear about ideas – and we talk about ideas a lot! So we’re always open to your creative thoughts on projects you’d like to explore on the Isle of Portland.

There may be ways in which you’d like to get involved in our work or for us to get involved in yours. Or you might have ideas about how we could collaborate with you or support your project in some way.

As long as your ideas align with our themes and outcomes (scroll down the page for our outcomes download and see our current theme HERE) we would love to hear from you.

Take a look at our website to see examples of work we have produced in the past.

How do you choose your artists, what’s the process?

We generate lots of opportunities for artists throughout the year, so make sure you follow our social media channels or sign up for our newsletter to hear about these.

We also often get sent ideas or proposals, these are discussed by the whole team and our aim is to acknowledge receipt and respond fully in six weeks.

This year’s OPEN CALL is now closed.

Got an idea?

You can email anyone on the team or info@b-side.org.uk

There are a few things to bear in mind if you get in touch, please download and read our FAQ’s document below.
