Performed live, Belinda’s sound poetry performance, Viva Voce, is an ongoing exploration of displacement and the role water plays in themes of loss and home.
It traces the movement of tides, people, animals, and goods. The performance blends reflections on two great rivers, bound together by a shared history of trade, movement, and migration. Viva Voce continues Belinda’s research and development into how sound can intersect with her poetic works.
