This site responsive paste up under the arches of Girt Hall
begins an exploration of Portland informed by the histories of Portland workers, inhabitants, and migrants. Working with the volunteers from the Study Centre, Deborah Bowness explores family and community connections to discover how our names and the legacy of our ancestors can form our identity as well as shape our towns and landscapes.
