Join artists Liz and Frank to make your own unique wearable artwork using a combination of digital and analogue photography processes and silver smithing.
You will need to be available Tuesday 3rd Sept and Wed 4th September between 5 and 7pm.
The workshops are FREE and you must be available for both.
Tuesday 3rd Sept
In the first workshop, you will use a 3D printed Camera/Darkroom system to create a miniature glass print from a digital image chosen from your smartphone.
Wednesday 5th Sept
In the second workshop, you will learn how to polish and personalise a frame to hold your print. You are invited to make one to keep and another to add to the internationally touring collection of pieces made during workshops in 7 countries.
Your artwork will become part of the installation held in St Georges Church Bell tower during B-side festival.
The SIM Project gives tangible meaning to people’s virtual networks and explores how the images we create and exchange through our smartphones map our place in the world. It focuses on the SIM card as a tool that provides a portable sense of belonging.
