Bridgette’s recent work looks at redundant or overlooked sites, objects and archives. She makes scale-models, depictions and proposals for often unrealistic and exaggerated ‘Visitor Experiences’. Bridgette has been looking at how 18th-century artists and landscape theorists were interested in the effects of Claude glasses which were widely used by tourists and amateur artists who viewed scenery via the mirror to give them a real life view of the required ‘mellow tinge’.
