This year b-side worked in partnership with Watershed, Weymouth College and designers Wired Canvas and Neil Leonard to create a Festival newspaper in just 48 hours!
The 48 began on July 27th and was designed, printed and distributed across Weymouth by July 31st!
Students worked with journalist and photographer David Goldblatt to report on stories direct from the streets of Weymouth as the Olympic festivities began – reviewing cultural highlights, talking to visitors, locals and even the odd seagull to create a really lively and informative tabloid that included cutting edge photography, graphics, illustrations and prints from young, emergent artists and a very talented pool of generous designers and writers.
10,000 souvenier copies made their way around Weymouth, but if you didn’t manage to get your hands on a copy you can download your own pdf version here.
