Francesca Baglione (Miss High Leg Kick) is an Olivier Award-winning live artist whose work uses collaboration and unusual approaches to audience engagement to create ambitious, accessible performances.
Large-scale outdoor works (e.g. Fashion Bus and Audition Project) and interactive pieces (C’est Barbican/Duckie!, and Bird Rave) are marked by humour, a love of spectacle, dance and the celebration of the everyday. She is an Associate Artist of Duckie.
Recent Miss High Leg Kick work has centred on the power of the senses – following on from touring show Eau de Memoire (an olfactory experience combining dance, live performance and audience interaction with fragrance, with an emphasis on evoking particular moments via the audience’s sense of smell).
“I am interested in experimenting with, and ultimately developing new work which marries the senses of touch and smell, dance, sound, costume into a mix of arts practices – and which invites unusual audience participation.”
Collaborating artist on Eau de Portland, Abi Cunliffe is an actor and performer pursuing creative development through multi-visionary performance/installation based work (e.g. Dreambag and Wheel of Fortune – where she created intricate personal keepsakes for her audience members).
