Lewis Gibson studied music at Dartington College Of Arts. In his work as a sound artist, he attempts to create aural experiences that question the space around us. He has presented installations, audio trails and sonic art commissions for galleries, museums and arts festivals including the V&A, Tate Britain, Greenwich and Docklands Festival, Bristol Old Vic, ICA, Shunt Lounge, Battersea Arts Centre, Latitude Festival, New Zealand Fringe Festival and the Museum of London.
As a director , writer and composer for theatre, Lewis has made work for a diverse range of spaces and audiences, from eight people in a shed to the National Opera House in Damascus. He is a founder member of SABAB and an associate artist with Graeae, Tangere Arts and Uninvited Guests.
His other theatre collaborations include The Young Vic, The Unicorn Theatre, Jane Packman Company, The Royal Exchange, BAC, Nigel + Louise and Fuel.
