The Institute of Inter-witted Research was founded in 2015 by Claudia Antonius and Jörg Jozwiak with the aim of investigating areas between sense, nonsense, profundity, meaning and meaninglessness.
To this end, they are primarily concerned with exploring, capturing and conveying stories and traces. In some recent projects, the institute has also focussed on ecological issues.
Antonius and Jozwiak do not commit themselves to any one form of artistic expression but employ different media and borrow from various disciplines. In doing so, they are especially interested in the serious within the humorous, and humour to be found within the serious.
When not collaborating at the Institute, they pursue individual artistic agendas: Whilst Claudia explores contemporary approaches to the painting techniques of the Old Masters, Jörg is interested in intersections of art and (political) campaigning.
For b-side festival 2022
Tyrolia Mundus suggests two large-scale, tyrolian-style houses to be built on Portland.
The Austrian real estate company Tyrolia Mundus proposes its top-selling prefab apartment complexes Haus Kitzbühel and Haus Wörgl to upvalue and amenitise the quarries of East Weare. The gated community will include comforts such as a private beach accessible by chairlift and a tyrolian delicatessen shop. During the b-side festival the project is presented to the public: A promotional slide show in the window of a local estate agent, a multimedia presentation at a public venue and guided tours around the construction site provide insights into the plans. Furthermore, a construction sign visualises the development on site.
Tyrolia Mundus is pleased to introduce its ground-breaking ideas to potential buyers and the public!
