Come and be photographed in place that is important to you on Portland.
B-side are looking for individuals or families who have a special connection to a place on Portland – a connection, a memory, a story to tell that links them to a particular place on the island.
Acclaimed photographer, Farhad Berahman is working with b-side festival to create hand-tinted portraits of residents on the island, using an Afghan Camera Box known as a Kamra-e-faoree. The portraits will be exhibited at the b-side festival in September and will also be exhibited at Tate Modern in May as part of the Tate Exchange, ‘Who Are We’ project.
Participants can be long standing locals or newcomers who have arrived very recently and must be available to be photographed on either Tuesday 8th, Wednesday 9th or Thursday 10th of May.
