A Jubilee community project to celebrate all that we cherish and love.
As part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations b-side teamed up with Island Community Action, photographer Richard Tomlinson, audio artist Jo Tyler and textile artist Antje Rook to create some very special souvenirs to create hundreds of unique mementos celebrating our communities special something or someone.
Over 200 people took part in the project, bringing along a special something or someone to be photographed to create a unique collection of souvenir ceramics. Everything from old photographs, tools, instruments, suitcases even pet dogs have been documented as well as the people themselves, many dressing up for the occasion too!
The collection was exhibited as part of b-side festival 2022 in September.
Funded by the Arts Council England – Let’s Create Platinum Jubilee Fund through the Dorset Community Foundation.
