Hello Bea!

b-side are excited to announce the apppointment of Bea Moyes as the project Research Coordinator on their Heritage Lottery Funded project ‘Portland Pathways’. Bea is an independent researcher and filmmaker, with a background working with archive collections. She will be coordinating a team of community researchers to explore the historic origins of the rights of way on the Isle of Portland between now and June 2018.

This research will have a number of exciting creative outcomes including an artist’s installation and a series of published maps, with the aim to inspire residents and visitors to explore Portland’s public pathways,  learning more about the of significance of these rights of way, and their relationship to the landscapes and heritage sites they connect.

Now we need you – b-side is looking for people who would like to be become involved in the research taking place between April and June 2018, with a series of walks scheduled to happen in May. You can be flexible about how much time you can commit, and which areas of research you would like to be involved in.

Bea will be hosting an informal drop in session on Thursday, March 22nd from 12pm-5pm at b-side, Outpost, 77 Fortuneswell, DT5 1LY. Come along and find out more.
