Joss Allen is Project Manager at Deveron Arts, a contemporary arts organisation based in Huntly— a market town in the north east of Scotland with a population of 4,500. Deveron Arts has worked with the history, context and identity of the town since 1995. Deveron Arts has no building, instead the town is the venue; acting as studio, gallery and stage for artists of all disciplines invited from around the world to live and work here. Recently Deveron Arts has begun to work outside the geographic boundaries of Huntly through the development of the Walking Institute, a peripatetic school exploring the human pace.
Joss started off as a Shadow Curator Intern before taking on the role of Project Manager earlier this year. Prior to joining the DA team, Joss worked for arts organisations in London and Copenhagen, as well as working as a support worker for adults with autism. Joss studied at Duncan of Jordanstone, Dundee and holds a masters degree in Fine Art.
