Following Dorset Council’s unanimous refusal of the plan, developers Powerfuel Portland appealed the council’s decision. The government has decided to allow the appeal and grant planning permission.

The campaign to challenge this decision and present a strong case in the High Court at a Judicial Review is underway.

The Stop Portland Waste Incinerator Campaign is leading this campaign, in order to present the case to the High Court the group must raise £40,000 to fund the lawyer, barrister and KC. So far the campaign has raised a large chunk of this money and now just need to raise the final £6,500.
