The Portland Office for Imaginary History is back!
The Portland Office for Imaginary History is back!
The Portland Office for Imaginary History was first commissioned by b-side Festival in 2016, returned in 2018 and is open again in 2021!
The Portland Office for Imaginary History is a satirical tourist information bureau providing entirely false visitor information, ecology, paleontology, maps, (non) fact sheets, stories, walks and souvenirs from an imaginary Isle of Portland.
This year the non-walking tours are back. Open to all, but wheelchair and mobility scooter users are particularly encouraged to join in and visit (in our minds) Portland’s space cows, the picturesque historical kidnap area, the 19th century’s most gentlemanly man-monkey, and more. Book early to avoid disappointment… yes, seriously.
Priority booking for people who identify as disabled.
All explorers are welcome we will all be riding mobility scooters irrespective of walking ability. The tour will start and finish at St Georges Hall, Easton.
Drivers must be 16+.
Places are limited so booking is essential.
