A vibrant installation of handmade flags celebrating imagination, belonging and different ways of being together.
Sea of Flags emerged from a desire to reclaim flags as symbols of care, solidarity and imagination. At a time when some symbols can feel charged or exclusionary, this project offers another vision: a hopeful, joyful and playful reimagining of what flags can represent.
Created by LGBTQ+side – a family of LGBTQIA+ people who meet monthly at b-side to support one another – the installation celebrates visibility, creativity and community.
The work was assembled by Coastline Covers and facilitated by b-side.
