Step into a tarot-inspired world where Portland's past, present and future meet.
Created by artist Alexi Marshall, this immersive installation is part archive, part oracle, and entirely Portland.
At its heart is a deck of hand-printed linocut tarot cards. Through a series of free community workshops, Islanders have designed, carved and printed their own unique cards, capturing personal memories, local stories and what it means to live in this remarkable place.
Together they form a collective portrait of Portland: raw, intimate and one of a kind.
Large-scale linocut prints inspired by Portland stone, folklore and the Island’s fairground history fill the space. Visitors may also have the opportunity to receive a tarot reading.
A new mythology rooted in Portland stone and channelled through the Island itself.
The cards are free to take. Choose one, carry it with you, and see where it leads.
