Join us for the weirdest and most joyful Portland Parade yet!
Dress up, gather in Easton Gardens and parade like you mean it. Enjoy gorgeous brass tunes from Weymouth Concert Brass to start the proceedings as we gather and get ready.
Led by the incomparable Tongues of Fire musicians, expect infectious live music, dancing, celebration and glorious silliness as we make our way through the streets.
Whether you’re on foot, on wheels or accompanied by four-legged friends, everyone is welcome.
Let this year’s festival theme That Other Place – the Portland Fair inspire you. We want to see ghost trains, walking candy floss, a toffee apple, perhaps even boxers from the famous Portland Fair have-a-go boxing ring….surprise us!
If you can’t join the parade, find a place along the route, wave, cheer and help fill Portland with colour, music and joy.
We will start gathering at 6pm, parade sets off at 6.30pm.
Don’t forget!
Add extra lights to your costume, so we can really set Portland alight!
