Teatro Vivo is a site specific theatre company who make playful and interactive “theatre where you least expect it”. They are making a show on Portland in 2026 – TRIBE – which will take us back to pre-Roman times, when there was a hillfort at the site of the High Angle Battery. The show will explore femxle power, gender expression and expectation, connection to nature and will recruit a “tribe” of Portlanders to join the professional cast.
In these very early stages of development, artistic director Kas Darley will be with us next week to share their research so far, open up the themes of the play for discussion, and lead some gentle creative exercises to allow us to explore who we might each have been in a time before Christian morality – when the wilder gods still ruled…
Join us for a playful and creative session and the opportunity to be in a very unique production.
