‘In Progress’ is an exhibition of work-in-progress by the b-side New Artists.

Beginning in March 2021, during the coronavirus pandemic, the New Artists have been exploring Portland through walks, talks, zoom calls and google maps! It’s been a lot of remote or lone working, but now the New Artists are coming together to share some of their stories, ideas and artwork in Artspace82.

Everything is ‘In Progress’. So, expect the beginnings of ideas, sketchbooks, snippet of films, clips of audio and half-finished pieces of work.

The New Artists are 5 individual visual artists, local to Dorset, who are currently on a training and development programme with us at b-side. Throughout the course of 13-month programme, the New Artists are trying and testing new creative ideas that are specific or responsive to Portland. And you’re getting the first chance to see behind the scenes!
