‘Fire at Sea’ is a documentary by Gianfranco Rosi, described by the Guardian as ‘a masterly and moving look at the migrant crisis’. The film contrasts the lives of the desperate thousands landing on the shores of a Sicilian island with the everyday existence of the locals.
‘The Conversation’ by Marica Chandra documents the work of Farhad Berahman, an Iranian artist whose has taken photographs of Portlanders for this year’s b-side Festival.
