Liz is an artist and educator, with both parts forming her practice.
Linking across them is an interest in transformation. She uses print, drawing and making to create inner maps of visceral and sensory landscapes. The work uses the imaginal realm to access unexpressed emotions and grief held within the body, using symbols and mark-making to make visible what is felt but not necessarily understood. Although the body is the starting point, the work goes onto explore the ancestral, the dark, the mud, the seasonal and the cyclical.
Liz is based in Dorset and works as a lecturer. She studied at the RCA and has previously shown at Coventry Biennial, Estuary Festival, Jerwood Drawing Prize, Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, Oriel Davis Gallery.
