Ella Yolande draws on artistic fieldwork practices to create video installations, site specific textiles and plant infused therapeutic garments. Tangled in thoughts of the vegetal and our multi-species bodies, her practice is informed by queer ecologies, colonial botanical histories and methods of resilience. Through considering alternative mapping processes, the medicinal and dye properties of plants, and rethinking the human body as individual, she explores how ecological sensitivities might be woven from living histories, infrastructures and sign givers.
