Darcy Miller

I’m a sculptor based in Bournemouth, fascinated by ecology, specifically the relationship between humans and the earth and the tension between us.

Through metal work, I’ve been highlighting the similarities between humans and the non-humans and turning the dynamic around, reframing the plants as more ‘powerful’ than the  human.

In the interest of adapting my practice, I have played with large, intimidating scale, I am eager to explore how intimacy alters the relationship between humans and plants. I want to  experiment with merging smaller-scale metal work with textile and organic materials from the earth.
