Molly Scarborough, b-side’s wonderful Access and Talent Development Lead, former Youth Programme Coordinator has left b-side after 6 years working with us here on Portland
Molly joined b-side in 2016 on a paid internship as Assistant Festival Producer. She then went on to develop and lead a number of training programmes at b-side as well as establishing her own practice as an artist.
Molly brought the Why Festival from The Southbank to Portland in 2018, developing a youth led programme of events at b-side festival and creating a young producers group to deliver the programme. She went on to develop the New Curators and New Artist training programme, matching early career artists to more established artists across the South West. The programme enabled the New Curators and a New Artist to develop their own work, some of which was commissioned and shown at the most recent 2022 festival.
Molly’s care and thoughtfulness and her creative insight will be missed by all of us at b-side as we are sure they will be by everyone who had the pleasure of working with her.
We wish her the very best and look forward to seeing where her talents take her next.
