Portlander
A free, public publication
During June this year New York based artist Paul Soulellis was in residence at Portland Tophill Library, collecting materials for a new publication entitled – ‘Portland Bill’ – a print-on-demand, community newsprint publication. Out and about on Portland, riding with the mobile library and on various chance encounters Paul gathered stories, images, recipes, myths and snapshots of Portland life from residents to design a multi-layered, diverse expression of local life and history from war heroes to witches.
This brand new participatory publication will be freely distributed on Portland during the Festival.
Look out for it at all Festival sites and venues or pick up your copy direct from Paul himself at Tophill Library, Easton on September 6 or Jackson’s Gallery, Fortuneswell September 7 between 10.30 and 12.30 both days.
