An Opeful Story: Sean Phelps
Sean Phelps is a former Royal Marine and PE Officer in the Prison Service who believes strongly in the power of sport to change lives.
Over the years, Sean has taken on numerous endurance challenges to raise money for charity. Earlier this year, he rowed the Atlantic Ocean, raising an incredible £22,000 for Care After Combat and Samaritans of Dorset.
Sean is also a passionate advocate for talking about mental health. He is the current NAFESE (National Armed Forces and Emergency Services) Mental Health Champion, an award he received in November 2025, and is a facilitator at Andy’s Man Club Portland.
Come along to hear Sean’s story, share a cuppa and enjoy an afternoon of good company.
Everyone is welcome. Café Ope is FREE.
